Fictional Fashion: Alina from Shadow and Bone

The Grisha trilogy was one of the more intriguing series I read this year. My favorite book was by far the first, Shadow and Bone, which is where I drew inspiration for this outfit. I want this one super bad! I have a strange obsession with antlers (I collect antler sheds), and this outfit is full of them!

My favorite part of this outfit is undoubtedly the shirt from Modcloth. If you’ve never boughten anything from Modcloth, I highly recommend it, especially the shirts. They are high quality and very comfortable. I also love this style of shirt because it looks good with any type of casual pant, flattering but not tight, and doesn’t require any layering. And this design is on point! I’m keeping my eye on it.

Pair it with this necklace from Hebel Design, and you got Alina! This necklace is specifically inspired by the Morozova Collar from the book. This version is edgy but feminine at the same time. The store has a ton of other jewelry items inspired by The Grisha trilogy and other books by authors like Leigh Bardugo and Cassandra Claire.

spacerspacerTo complete the outfit, I’d suggest a pair of dark skinnies. Specifically, I love a pair of corduroy skinny pants like these ones. That site in particular has a few colors to choose from. I once had a pair of similar pants, and they were seriously the comfiest pants ever!

And last but not least, a pair of ballet flats. I like this pair from Target. I think the color would nicely match the shirt and the collar.

Now, dear followers, do tell. Do you enjoy these post? How could I improve them for you? How often are you interested, if at all, in seeing them? Since it’s a new addition, the feedback would be nice!

Thanks, darlings!

      1. No, I understand! 🙂 And it was my pleasure. I’d like to see you do Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter. And oh wait, this gives me an idea!

  2. It’s a great idea, really. Probably you’d make a killing if you did anything from The Mortal Instruments or Clockwork Angel. 🙂 And if you’ve read the Legend trilogy, there are a few really nice outfits for June that you could try to emulate.
